Community Leaders Join the Maine MEP Board of Directors

We are thrilled to introduce the newest members of our Board of Directors. The Maine MEP board is made up of a mix of industry leaders and community partners which ensures that we stay responsive to the needs of manufacturers and partner effectively with other economic development organizations to meet those needs. Nancy Strojny, Assistant District Director of SCORE Maine and Julia Munsey, Director, Membership and Corporate Development at MITC are the newest members of our board of directors.

Julia Munsey Director, Membership and Corporate Development, Maine International Trade Center(MITC)

MITC is Maine’s leading source for international business assistance. MITC offers customized consulting, research, and an extensive network of connections across Maine and around the world to help businesses expand global markets for their products and services. Previously, Julia was a Partner in Dougherty Project Management, a Bangor based project management company specializing in Technology, Business Process, and Marketing Communication projects. She was the project manager for the Maine Troop Greeters Museum located at Bangor International Airport. Prior to joining Dougherty Project Management, Julia was the Director of Marketing and Communication for Oxford Networks, a Maine-based technology services provider. She holds a Bachelor of University Studies degree from the University of Maine with a concentration in Communication/Public Relations. In addition to her professional work, Julia is an active community volunteer. Currently, she serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Girl Scouts of Maine, Chair of the Cross Insurance Center Advisory Board, and Past Chair of the University of Maine Alumni Association Board of Directors. She also serves as a board member of BanAir Corporation, a non-profit development corporation whose mission is to encourage and manage development at Bangor International Airport and the City of Bangor. Julia was named the 2013 Juliette Award Honoree by the Girl Scouts of Maine for inspiring girls to become women of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Nancy Strojny Assistant District Director SCORE Maine


Nancy Strojny is the Assistant District Director of SCORE Maine, the largest mentoring organization in the state with over 130 volunteer mentors. SCORE is a national nonprofit organization, with a mission to foster vibrant small business communities through mentoring and education. Her areas of responsibilities include fundraising, outreach and recruiting state-wide. She is the former Chair of the Southern Maine Chapter of SCORE which was selected as the SBA Chapter of the Year in 2019. She served as a Board Director and the Board Secretary for the SCORE Association in Herndon, VA for the past 7 years. Nancy is the principal of her consulting firm focusing on building brands for businesses worldwide. Her broad experience includes Fortune 100 companies (Procter & Gamble) , business startups, turnarounds, and realignments. Nancy was selected by President Obama as a White House Champion of Change on March 7, 2012. She was named a Maine Biz Woman to Watch in 2017 and a Maine Magazine 50 Mainer Honoree Shaping Maine 2019. Nancy is a former Massachusetts native and relocated to Maine in 2009. She lives in Cape Elizabeth.
