Areas of specialty: Change Management, Lean Manufacturing, Supplier Quality
A Maine native, Daniel Pavitt has been working in manufacturing engineering roles over the last decade. Daniel joined Maine MEP in 2024, bringing experience with lean manufacturing, supplier quality, and change management.
Prior to his engineering career, Daniel worked in a K-12 private school in Charlotte, NC, building a Makerspace and teaching engineering classes to middle and high school students. In his engineering career in Maine, Daniel worked in the electronics industry at IDEXX, Enercon Technologies, and Generac Power Systems in manufacturing and supplier quality engineering roles, developing a strong background in manufacturing best practices, the supplier relationship, and new product introduction.
The Maine MEP project manager role allows Daniel to combine his two previous careers – teaching and manufacturing – into the single goal of supporting Maine manufacturing companies.
Daniel holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and has had professional development opportunities over his career in lean manufacturing, six sigma, and ISO 9001 internal auditing.
Outside of work hours, Daniel can be found hiking/skiing in the mountains, puttering on the ocean, and exploring new states/countries with his family.
