Since 1996, John H. Stuart has worked with Maine MEP on planning, acquiring and maintaining computer and server systems, both physical and virtual; building and maintaining network and telecommunications infrastructure; information systems development; troubleshooting and technical support; phone system and cellular phone specification, modification, and maintenance; presentation development; assessing new software tools; and facility management. John has also worked as an advisor/consultant for computer implementations at various client firms, and presents on varied topics.
Prior to working at MaineMEP, John was Assistant to the Director at Maine Forest Products Marketing in Greenville, where he was responsible for network troubleshooting, database development, survey analysis, and desktop publishing. As Vice President at Wreaths of Maine, he worked to improve business efficiency through database/ spreadsheet programming, data entry, advertisement layout, and accounting. His work there included interfacing with customers, salespeople, and suppliers.
Earlier positions include Staff Engineer at Advanced Measurement Systems, where John was responsible for electrical systems including electromagnetic interference testing in the field and laboratory, for which he wrote application software to aid in acquiring and analyzing data. At Cornell University, he worked with a professor to design a high speed infrared optoelectronic receiver for General Electric Aerospace.
John holds a Masters of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University.
